Components
To me, the first part of designing a carry solution for Kill Team “Essentials” is gathering all the accesories that will go in it. The original idea is for it to fit the 2021 Killzone Essentials and at least a set of Kill Team Dice from the 2018 Edition.
| Count | Size | Notes | |
| Combat Gauge 6″x1″ | 1 | ||
| Combat Gauge 3″x2″x1“ | 2 | ||
| Objective markers | 6 | 40.5 mm | |
| Initiative token | 1 | ||
| Tactical Operation tokens | 16 | ||
| Status tokens | 22 | ||
| Engage/Conceal tokens | 19 Engage 20 Conceal | 22 mm base to triangle tip | |
| Barricades | 6 | 25.4×50.8×12.7 mm | Fitting them in the carrier is optionalas I usually have them with the miniatures |
| Kill Team 6-sided dice | 6 | 14 mm side | |
| Kill Team 10-sided dice | 2 | 22 mm between two faces; 14 mm between two middle vertices | |
| Line laser | 1 |
After I have an idea of what accesories I want to have with me, I try to divide them into “trays”. For this particular design I do not want a single big box/piece.
- Tray 1 (play accesories) – Combat Gauges, line laser. This tray will set the dimension for the whole project.
- Tray 2 (setup and play accesories) – Objective markers, Initiative marker, Kill Team 6-sided dice, Kill Team 10-sided dice, Tactical Operation tokens
- Tray 3 (play accesories, one half-tray for each player) – Engage/Conceal tokens, barricades, Status tokens

Variants/Options
There are some variants that I am considering, but I either do not own the components or I have them stored in a different place. Here I will make a list of such variants/options that I am thinking if making available. For this part feedback is greatly appreciated:
| Count | Size | Notes | |
| Approved Ops (2025) cards | 37 | 121×70 mm | Tray? |
| Team datacards | 33-40? | 121×70 mm | Tray? |
| Alternative Combat Gauges | 2 | 6″x2″x0.15″ | Tray |
| Kill Team 2025 dice | 20 | 16 mm | Tray 2 variant and another Tray (maybe one with space for Team datacards or Approved Ops cards) |
